Yellow lap siding on a two-story home with a bay window and brick base, trees and shrubs in front

Siding installation in Skagit County, WA

We install fiber cement, LP engineered lap, cedar, and other lap and panel siding on new homes and additions. Siding only lasts as long as what's under it, so we do the house wrap, flashing, and trim too.

Siding we install

  • Fiber cement. Heavy and durable. It doesn’t rot and holds paint well, which makes it a common choice for wet climates.
  • LP engineered lap. Engineered wood siding that’s lighter than fiber cement and comes primed or prefinished.
  • Cedar. Real wood with a natural look. It needs a finish kept up over the years to stay in good shape.
  • Other lap and panel siding. If you have something else in mind, ask us about it.

What’s under the siding matters most

How long siding lasts mostly comes down to what’s under it: the sheathing, house wrap, flashing, and fasteners. In a place that gets as much rain as Skagit County, some water will always get behind the siding. The house wrap and flashing are what send it back out instead of into the walls. We put the same care into those layers as into the siding you see.

From framing to siding

On new homes and additions, we can do the framing too. One crew takes the house from bare framing to finished siding, so there’s no gap between trades and no question about who’s responsible for what.
