Yellow lap siding on a two-story home with a bay window and brick base, trees and shrubs in front

Trim, soffit, and fascia in Skagit County, WA

We install and replace exterior trim, including corner boards, window and door casing, soffit, and fascia. On an older house, trim is where a lot of water gets in, so we flash it properly and replace any rot we find behind it.

Why trim matters

Trim covers the joints where the siding meets windows, doors, corners, and the roof line. Those joints are exactly where water tries to get in. Once trim cracks, gaps, or rots, water can reach the sheathing and framing behind it, and the damage spreads where you can’t see it.

Soffit and fascia

The fascia is the board along the edge of the roof, and gutters usually hang from it. The soffit is the underside of the eaves, between the fascia and the wall. Both take a lot of weather, and rotted fascia can pull gutters loose. We replace worn soffit and fascia and make sure the roof edge sheds water away from the walls.

With siding or on its own

We do trim, soffit, and fascia on every siding job. If your siding is still in good shape but the trim isn’t, we can replace just the trim.

Yes. If the trim has rotted, we check the sheathing behind it and replace anything that's rotted before the new trim goes on.

Do you do trim as part of a siding job?

Yes. Trim, soffit, and fascia are part of every siding job we do, and we also replace them when they've worn out on their own.
